Welcome to the Costume Society of Scotland which was established in 1966  with the aim of  fostering  an interest in every  aspect of costume historical and contemporary in  Scotland.We hope there is something for everyone but if you can think of something we have overlooked just let us know .

The Society encourages research and study by means of

• Regular monthly  evening  lectures in  central Edinburgh  held throughout the academic year.
• Monthly newletter with news of current exhibitions or items of interest to the membership .

• A summer outing allowing  visits to Scottish collections.

• Annual Bulletin containing many articles written by members.

• Regularly staged exhibitions.

• General advice to members and other organisations .
